It seems like eons ago (May 2010) when I commenced the DL MBA programme … now that electives are finally here with me, the finish line seems within view. And it is exactly at this point that motivation, stamina, adrenaline and sheer determination seem to escape me and I feel like I’m running on empty.
Yet what is most encouraging is that I am not alone on this journey. The beauty of the Leicester Distance Learning programmes is that there are such varied levels of support that very rarely does the continuum from motivation to despair reach the latter point. I am glad to have a colleague at work with whom I regularly meet to keep the fire burning. In addition, social media helps in essay brainstorming and exam preparation workshops. This is to name but a few.
As I write this post, I am working late in the office (it is 1757 hours in Nairobi) to conceptualize an essay on my second elective.
