At some point in the year, students on the MBA will need to consider which electives to take. Perhaps some of you have already chosen their specialisms while others may be contemplating not specializing.
Well … you can either specialize or opt for the general MBA.
If you choose to specialize, I would suggest you take a look at the list of option modules available on the School of Management MBA site. The list is subject to change so it is best to keep updating oneself until the point at which you are ready to chose an option.
I had initially chosen Knowledge Management and Managing Information: Technology & Systems only to realize months later that a more appealing module titled Innovation for Managers was introduced. I later applied to ULSM to switch to the latter one.
I also chose not to specialize so I could have my fair pick of modules of career relevance to me as opposed to being restricted to a particular specialism. So I ended up choosing a module in the Information Technology Management specialism (Knowledge Management) and another in the Quality Management specialism (Innovation for Managers).
In case you need any assistance choosing a module, you may ask any of the current students through PASS or you can email the ULSM contacts directly.
