Hello everyone! I hope you’ve all had a wonderful Christmas break and that your January exams went well! It feels like just yesterday I was stressing over my exams and just like that the first week of the new semester is almost over!
My exams went surprisingly well though I was a little bit of a nervous wreck before them. I am not going to lie, I have never really liked studying Finance. In fact, anything with numbers is not on my favourites list. I studied Accounting during both my IGCSEs and AS/A Levels. I didn’t specifically enjoy it, but it has proved beneficial since Accountancy and Financial Management were both core modules in the first and second year respectively. When it comes to subjects I don’t like, I prefer a tutor who makes the subject fun to learn. And thankfully, my tutor last semester was fantastic. I miss learning Financial Management. And I never thought I would say that in this lifetime.
As for the second semester, the first week has been great so far. Since I am studying just BA Management Studies, I did not want to specialise in a particular field. Rather, I wanted to explore a range of different fields in order to have more options in hand when I apply for jobs later on. So I chose International Marketing Communications and Human Resources Management. The module on Dissertation Preparation has gotten me a little anxious for my final academic year though. I am glad they are training us now. Hopefully, it will make the task easier next academic year.
If you are entering your second year, what modules have you chosen for the second semester? Let me know in the comment section below.
Peace out! 🙂
