Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well and have had a fantastic summer! My warmest congratulations to all the freshers out there. You made it! And to all the returning students like myself, welcome back! I hope you have had an amazing Freshers’ Week so far. I had the wonderful opportunity to meet and talk to a bunch of you during the Freshers’ Fair down at the Common Room at the Students’ Union where my stall was located. Thank you to everyone who signed up to help out with the UoL Childreach Society. I apologize for being MIA this past month. I was busy with a few things, but I am back now with a ton of different posts in line for you!
Final year feels just like first year. That familiar feeling of nervousness and excitement cloaks my mind as I prepare to depart in the next 10 months. (P.S. I haven’t finalized my dissertation topic yet. YIKES!) The induction talk we had with the department today eased my nervousness a tad bit and I am more motivated and confident regarding all the assessments coming my way.
I had mentioned my optional modules for this year in one of my previous posts and there has been a slight change in those. The department has made one of my optional subjects a core module. As a result, I will now have to choose something else in place of it. Though annoyed at first, the prospect of having the opportunity to widen my choices even further sounds great. I might opt for Ecology and Sustainability, a subject I have been wanting to study in detail for a long time. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comment section below!
To all the new and returning students, I wish you a great year ahead!
Peace out! 🙂
