Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well. I have been missing in action for a while now. I thought I would give you a little update on what has been happening lately. The month of April and May were undoubtedly the most stressful two months of my entire existence. After countless sleepless nights, endless typing and the never ending over dramatic emotional breakdowns, I successfully submitted my dissertation on the 5th of May. Woohoo! (five second dance party) It was such a relief. I celebrated with a scrumptious serving of waffles with a drizzle of warm Belgian chocolate sauce, garnished with whipped cream and fresh strawberries served with a side of a delicious scoop of white chocolate ice-cream. Sounds good, eh? Head down to Heavenly Desserts if you want some. It was the perfect end to an almost end of semester.
After submitting my dissertation I still had a 3,000 word essay to hand over on the 9th of May. I took a day’s break before getting back to work and soon that was over too. I have been relaxing since hoping that the fatigue would fade away but it has not! I still have two exams to write before I am absolutely done with university. The feeling is surreal. I am excited to graduate in July but absolutely devastated at the same time that my time here at the University of Leicester has come to an end. But here’s to making many more wonderful memories ahead!
To everyone whose exams began today, I hope it went well. And to everyone who is still working on submissions and revising for exams, I will you all the very best! I am sure you are going to ace it!
