By now you would have all been on websites which tell you the sensible, standard things you need for university: laptop, important documents, railcard, clothes rack, yada yada yada (NB. such lists are, in reality, very helpful and should be seized with vigour). But what things will really need help you survive university? Here’s 5 things you’ll actually need for uni:
Netflix Subscription – Let’s be honest, most of the time you’ll just be lazing around when you really should be studying. So what better way to spend that time than catching up with OITNB or GOT. Alternatives: Amazon Prime, Hulu Plus.
Spotify Subscription – Getting ready for a night out? Revising? Working out in the gym? There’s a playlist for every mood and occasion. A few of my personal favourites to follow are: Global Top 50, Discover Weekly and Workout Twerkout. Alternatives: Apple music, Rdio.
Unlimited Minutes – No matter how much you love university, there’ll always be those days when you miss home and your friends and family. Unlimited minutes = Unlimited gossip from friends and unlimited advice from mum.
Coffee – Because when you realise you don’t know half as much about Linear Algebra as you thought you did, nights in the library are going to be a lot less trying with this little friend in a mug. And if you don’t like coffee, you will do by the end of the year.
Alarm Clock – ‘Cause how else will you remember to get up at 7am after coming home at 5am from a night out?! Tip: pre-set all your alarms for the entire week on Sunday evening.
