Results in the Maths department are finally out! I’ve been waiting patiently (but nervously) this week for them to be released, as many friends from other departments received them earlier on in the week.
From what I’ve heard, many of my friends did well and got pretty good marks. However some didn’t do as well in some modules as they had hoped. If you’re in the same boat, don’t let it get you down. You’ve still got a whole semester (which by the way has 9 weeks left) to get through, so if you let your results from last semester affect your performance this semester, you’re not going to achieve the marks that you want.
Use those bad grades (or good grades!) as motivation to excel yourself this term. You know you can do better, so show yourself and your department that you can! You still have a whole term to pick up the pieces, so make it count.
