What to expect in the first week

The first week of university is really an introduction week, where all your lecturers will be giving you an insight to what the module will consist of throughout the first semester. This is the time where they will explain the importance of the handbooks for each module; this is where you will be able to find out most of the answers to your questions.

You will also be required to collect your student ID card on your 1^st day, the sooner you do this the better as this allows you to enter places like the Library and the media department building (Bankfield House).

Take the time to familiarise yourself with the campus and the main buildings your lectures and seminars take place in. Go to the fresher’s fair and see what you can get involved in; many societies will already have some exciting events ready for new members to attend!

Look out for the Media and Communication Society at the fresher’s fair this Monday and Tuesday in the Students Union.

Make sure you get involved and take full advantage of what university offers you.
