I know I say it ever year but 2015 has flown by, to think we will be in January on Friday, that means one thing…exams dates are coming closer and closer. So here are a few tips to help you during the exam period.
Take regular breaks – make sure you take a break and give your mind something else to think about. Go for a walk or even have a wonder round Highcross to see what bargains you can find. Don’t feel guilty about having a break from revision, you need some de-stress time!
Keep Calm and Carry On – I know it can be daunting, but keep going with your revision, so you can go into the exam feeling like you have done the best you could. Also think of the end of exam celebrations you have probably already organised.
Past Papers – try and have a look at past papers as this gives you an indication of how the exam will be set up. If they are not available on blackboard email your module tutors and see if they have any they could share. I find it useful to look over past papers and use them as a ‘mock’ exam; this will also help you to manage your time.
Talk through what you have learnt – whether it’s with a friend who has the same exam or a family member. It has always helped me to speak to people regarding what I have been revising, as it gives you the chance to test yourself.
Good Luck in your upcoming exams and wishing you a Happy New Year!
