Final Term:
First of all, congratulations to everyone for completing their exams and assignments! And just like that semester 2 has arrived, I finished my exams and essays a week ago, so luckily I’ve had the chance to have a little break before starting the second semester.
I always feel semester 2 goes so quickly, although the official term dates are from 25th January – 22nd June. I can already see myself getting ready for graduation (scary thought!!) Back in first year, July 2016 seemed so far away and a distant thought. Now that month is coming closer and closer. So I plan to squeeze every opportunity out of being a student (especially with the use of my student ID card, those extra 10% off always come handy). My timetable this semester is very empty with only two days of classes for my modules Media Law and Online Journalism: Theory and Practice. This is because my dissertation counts as a third module, however we don’t have any set classes for this. As a student who commutes I probably won’t be on campus as much, however I plan to dedicate a day to come to Leicester and spending it in the library or the student union completing my work, just so I’m more on campus in my final semester.
Refreshers Fair:
It’s back!! So just in case you didn’t manage to attend the Fresher’s Fair in September, you have another chance to wonder round the student union and sign up to the many societies on offer.
The Refreshers Fair will take place today at 10am – 4pm. It’s a perfect opportunity to discover what you can get involved in during your time here at University of Leicester.
