Exams, barring the dreaded possibility of resits, are over at last and I can finally return to you excellent lot. Hurray! Happy new year, and I hope you all had a great Christmas!
I do apologise for my relative absence in the last few weeks – It being exam season I spent most of my holiday with my nose buried in a textbook (not an efficient way to revise, I must say -> You can’t see anything), so I’m afraid there wasn’t a huge amount to talk about. I mean, the highlight of my study period was when my notoriously anti-social dog came and sat next to me for all of five minutes. Honestly, it was a strangely touching moment.
I only had two exams, but each one was test two and a half years worth of medical material, which is an awful lot when you think about it. Results are released on the 19th January (9 days, yikes!), but until then I’m entirely free! And I have no idea what to do! If you’ve ever seen Castaway it’s a bit like when Tom Hanks gets back from the island and has no idea what to do with himself.
I don’t actually start back at Uni until the last week of February, so until that point I’ll be treating you to tales of my holiday adventures. For instance yesterday, and this is pretty exciting, I managed to cook tandoori chicken in my crazy new clay cook pot for the entire house, without burning the kitchen down! I know, I was pretty happy. I also made naan bread out a bread mix, which was a first.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention! Just as a reminder to 1st and 2nd year Med students at Leicester – I’m sitting on a pile of flashcards for Phase One which anyone who wants is welcome to use -> Just drop a comment below and I can send you them. Other than that, best of luck to everyone with exams! I’m sure you’ll all do fine. I’m just off to the libr- oh wait! Hehehe. I may go watch some T.V. Definitely the best use of my new freedom.
