There is something to be said about the calming effect that art has. Sticking up posters of serene scenery or photographs with old friends can really lighten up and bring life to an otherwise dull desk.
Who doesn’t love good old post-its? Post-its not only help you stay organised and mark important things, but they can also serve as reminders for urgent tasks or revision tools to remember key information.
#3: Pen holder:
I prefer using a compartmentalised pen holder, as it helps me to organise my highlighters and pens separately and keep my desk clutter-free.
A planner is an essential for anyone who wishes to maximise productivity and remember important dates (birthdays, academic and social events, etc). I would suggest purchasing a planner which works for you – some factors to consider include whether you want a weekly or monthly layout, the space you require and the design of your planner (pretty patterned planners or classic executive planners work just as well).
This may not work for everyone, but I occasionally find listening to instrumental piano music helps me focus better on challenging topics. Listening to your favourite tunes is also a great way to unwind after long periods of studying.
