My Saturday was a very chocolatey one. The Baking Society made their second annual trip to Cadbury’s World, in festive fancy dress (I’m the snow-woman!)
We met on campus at 10am prompt so that we could maximise the day of chocolate fun! After a hour and a quarter’s worth of ‘are we there yets’, we arrived in Bournville. For me, the highlight of the day was the factory tour; along the way we got a free Crunchie, Curly-Wurly and Dairy Milk plus a pot of melted, molten chocolate. This was my 5th visit to Cadbury’s World (I am a self-proclaimed chocoholic) but I doubt it will be my last as there always seems to be new things to do and see.
As-well as the factory, there is also the Cadbury’s Factory Store. I had to persuade myself out of buying a box of 200 packs of Cherry Drops as, although they are my all-time favourites and they were cheap for such a large quantity (£8), I dread to think what my dentist would say at my next check up!
The whole trip was only £15 for the coach transport and our ticket and it was a fantastic day out. I’ve been a member of the Baking Society ever since I signed up at Freshers’ Fair last year and trips like these are one of the reasons I love being part of it.
Honoured to see my chocolate haul on here chica!
It was a very impressive haul babe! X x x
5 visits to Cadbury world? Addict! Haha, I’ve been looking for those little foil wrapped decoration things to hang on our Christmas tree this year- I call them interactive decorations:)
It was definitely a chocolate overload but much needed to get me through these last 2 busy weeks of term! See you at more Baking Society events soon x
I loved the Baking Society trip to Cadbury World! It was such a lovely day, I am happy to see you posted such a good blog post about it. I felt very sick after all that chocolate though … looking forward to more Baking Society events!
