Easter and Spring Wishes

Happy Easter, everybody! I hope you have all enjoyed the day with your families, I know I certainly have. My apologies for being quiet on the blog front for a couple of weeks, I have sadly been unwell but after a short spell in hospital, I am on the mend and I vow that April will be a blog filled month.

Back to Easter and I hope everyone had a good haul this year. Below is a photo of my modest selection, including  Easter eggs from my godmother and even my lovely flatmate’s nan! My mum got me lots of my favourite chocolate bars and my boyfriend made me a special personalised Dairy Milk bar with my name on that you can order online. All this chocolate has been such a treat as I gave it up for Lent so I had to restrain myself from eating it all at once!

Chocolate galore and some egg shaped candles!

We spent the rest of the day eating a delicious roast meal (chicken as we’re not a lamb family) and catching up on some TV (last night’s The Voice, I personally prefer  X Factor but still enjoyed the first show).

Now, I’m multi-tasking and watching Easter Eggs Live on Channel 4 which is all about baby animals hatching out of eggs. I think any minute now a baby emu is going to hatch! But for me, the  cutest baby animals have to be the ducklings.

All the new life and sunny weather is finally making me feel spring-like; a stark contrast to last week when I came home to blizzard like weather! Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the Bank Holiday and that you’re not tricked to being April Fools tomorrow.
