I am just a few days away from my Probation Review. All of my paperwork is in order, everything has been submitted on time. I am still working on the literary review. Though I have now curated an exhibition, I still feel that my non-museology background proves to be a disadvantage. But I read, I read a lot to be really update. We will see how it goes next week 🙂
My wife advised me to make the most of this trip to UK. So I will probably not go down to the pub with the others, but I will head back to London and next Friday I’ll be taking a trip to Beaulieu, visiting the National Motor Museum. Back in the late 1990s I was almost a regular – appearing two or three times a year there. They have a very nice library and research centre so I will be spending a day there, absolutely enjoying myself. I think this will be good for unwinding.
This first half year was manic. Really, really manic. I have organised a private learning group to my son. I have written over 20,000 words of my thesis. I have curated an exhibition on the history of motor car trade in Hungary. I have been one of the main organisers of a Concours d’Elegance in Hungary. And all of this was just an extra over my daily job. I believe a big THANK YOU is in order for my very patient wife, Boglarka :)!
