Hello readers,
It’s currently freshers fair but I’m here in the computer room at uni writing this blog up because the queue for Dominoes pizza is too long 😛
Todays topic of interest is Leicester City!
I love Leicester because it is so multicultural, a big melting pot of ethinicities brought together as one is very refreshing to see and be a part of.
The University of Leicester is only a short walk away from city centre, where you can go to chill after a long day, maybe indulge in some gelato and a movie? Check out gelato village, my fave place to go for yummy italian gelato and waffles. Showcase cinema de lux is the cinema of choice, offering student discounts and comfy seats lol.
I also love going to New Walk museum which has FREE entry, complete with a Dinosaur and Ancient Egypy exhibition, as well as an Art gallery. I have visited this place way too many times, mostly because its free and I love a good museum ? Don’t forget to take a selfie with the mummy ?
You can also visit The King Richard III Visitor Centre, where King Richard III’s remains were buried over 500 years ago.
If you’re looking for places to eat, the list of restaurants and coffee shops are endless, ranging from authentic chinese cuisine and dessert parlours, to cute, cosy cafés and this is just mentioning London Rd! Most restaurants and shops offer student discounts, so don’t forget to take your Student ID when you go out.
Have fun exploring Lesta.
