Hii
This is gonna be a quick one.
Second year is flying by but I am still in YR1 mode… Time to snap out of it?
I am currently trying to adjust and adapt my ways of working from last year, since moving to a new hospital, new speciality and being surrounded with lots of new faces and equipment i have yet to master! Confidence will rise and fall but dealing with these stressing times is what we need to figure out. Props to all students out there!!!
Retail therapy and lots of sleep helps a bit ?
Despite getting used to all the sudden change, I am really enjoying clinical placement and have learn sooo much in my first few weeks, scrubbing for surgeries I have never even seen before, or seeing really cool procedures like a Mandibular Osteotomy to fix a severe underbite. It is jaw dropping stuff ?
I have also learnt new ways of working on both surgery and anaesthetics from my mentor and the theatre staff, which really makes me think about how to use this to form my own practice for when i qualify…which isn’t too far away now. Eeek
Im soo gonna ACE checking that anaesthetic machine this week ?
Till next time.
