We recently had an open day on Sat 9th June and as I am ODP student ambassador I went in to help out. We had ODP talks and presentations being carried out throughout the day in the classroom and our lovely practical room. Myself and my fellow student ambassadors were present at the ODP stand and we really enjoyed meeting lots of potential future ODP students and talking to them about the course and what the academic and clinical side of it entails.
Open days like these (which I did not attend prior to applying for the course cos I missed it…oops), are a great opportunity to talk to staff and students alike and ask any burning questions you may have such as; fees, accommodation, course structure and placement details, student support and all that good stuff. The lecturers and students are all happy to share their knowledge and experience and you can also feel free to drop any questions in the comments which I’ll do my best to answer.
Up on main campus there were loads of activities and freebies; waffles, ice cream being made with liquid nitrogen, lots of campus tours carried out by the many Uni student ambassadors and overall it was a great day and very busy!
Hop on over to the next open day and come and see us! Here’s the link where you can book your place.
