is the one of the most nerve-racking moments in many peoples lives… or so I’ve heard. On my results day I was at Gatwick airport, having accidently chosen that day to fly to Dublin! However I remember the very tense moment at 6:30 am trying to get onto UCAS to see if I was accepted by the University of Leicester, my top choice. The relief and happiness was overwhelming.
It was also a day, however, when I found out some people at my school didn’t get into their top choices or get the grades they needed and were incredibly disappointed.
Many of you will have got your results on Thursday and may have experienced either of these situations. For those who got into a University they applied for, congratulations 🙂 But for those who didn’t, I know you must be feeling pretty discouraged right now. It may, however, offer some comfort to know that I still keep in contact with some people from school who didn’t get into their top choice, or into any university they applied for, or into university at all and yet almost all of them are absolutely loving where they are and what they are doing right now. I think that often, when something doesn’t turn out your way, things end up benefiting you in ways you would never have previously thought.
Best of luck to you all, whatever situation you are in! Any questions about Leicester as a place/ the university/ accommodation etc, fire away 🙂
