So I arrived back in Leicester yesterday. It was nice to be back and see everyone again but not so fun to come back to a lot of work…
In three days I have a Sociology exam and this time round I am VERY nervous. It is for a module called the ‘City Life and Social Order’ and involves topics such as globalisation, multiculturalism, welfare, restorative justice and criminal justice-all very interesting topics, but also incredibly broad. I have tried writing some notes of it but have absolutely no idea what kinds of questions will turn up on the paper :/
I also have my project due in on the 24th and have a meeting with my supervisor on Thursday next week, which will give me a week to sort everything out. I will probably have to re-do most of my discussion and edit the rest of it.
The thing is, a lot can be done in very little time if I really focus. So today, I am going to try my absoluteeee hardest to focus on writing out notes and reading over them all, highlighting them, testing myself and creating spider diagrams..Knowing it’s the final haul now helps. Can’t believe I will have finished in less than six months!! It’s definitely worth pushing yourself for the final part of your degree I think. Although I may have been a bit switched off over Christmas, it’s kind of hit me as I’ve got back that I do actually really need to put my head down and concentrate as I don’t want to look back and regret it !
Best of luck to all those with exams coming up. Get good amounts of sleep, drink lots of tea (sorry, caffeine addict here ! ) and stay calm :]
