So, here I am! Back from my trip, which was absolutely amazing! A bit traumatizing since it was my first-ever camping trip (and Scotland was bloody cold!), but it’s been a great experience! We travelled on the east coast, up to Loch Ness (in the picture), and down from the other side. It was great! And, I was exhausted. Took me a couple of days of comfortable rest, but now I’m ready for both International and Fresh Fair! Bring it on!
As member of the Volleyball team I’ll be busy advertising my (beautiful) sport around the university for basically the whole week. I met up yesterday with the other members of the committee, just to come up with some ideas. We planned on getting flyers and printing pictures from last year’s socials and games. Oh, and we’ll also have sweets, because… well, come on, who doesn’t like sweets? 😉 . We’re short on time, and since many players are flying over just before the term starts, not everyone can help. But it’s just a matter of being organised, and I think we’re doing it right! 🙂 Also, today I’ve been told to meet some International Students in Victoria Park, just to socialise and play a little… I’m up for it, and I can’t wait to start playing again!
This year promises to be amazing, we’ve got a great committee and still some great players from last year! I hope to get as many people as possible to sign up: the bigger the club, the better it will be! 🙂 Of course being part of the club it’s not just about playing; a team must be built by spending time together and knowing one another. It’s crucial! And, of course, since I’m competitive as hell, I really want to get a good Advanced Team together. Victory IS important, after all!
