How is it December already? When did this happen? I can’t believe how busy I’ve been so far, today’s my first day off in weeks and so I’m treating myself to a lazy day! 😉 It’s getting pretty cold lately, and of course in town it look like it’s full-Christmas already! To be honest, it’s been like this for the past weeks, and everyone seemed to be in the mood for festivity already. I didn’t really get it, I mean I love Christmas but November was way too soon to start thinking about decorations and presents..! And now it’s only two weeks before I go back to Italy for the holidays! An Italian friend came to visit me last weekend, we went to London and had a lovely day at the Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park 🙂 It was a good distraction from all the work (for uni and volunteering) that I still had to do. It’s a lot better now, I mean I had my interview with Victim Support, and luckily everything was okay: they just checked the skills I had learned during the training, and I didn’t even have to revise my notes; it seems like I had “absorbed” all the teaching without even trying! It was a very good training 🙂 So now I only have one more report to write and then I’ll be done! This is a Group Report, something I’m not used to and which I’m not really enjoying at the moment… but I don’t want to judge the experience before it’s over, so I’ll leave any comments to after the deadline. Oh, but at least I’ve had an early Christmas present! The marks on the essay on gaze aversion were released last week and, I can’t believe it, I’ve received my first First! I am so unbelievably happy, I’ve scored Firsts in some of our MCQs exams last year, but never on an essay! This means last year’s feedback is starting to give its results! And I also got a First on my 5 minute presentation. I know they won’t influence the final mark for the course (essay was only 20%), but they surely help to improve one’s self-confidence. 🙂 Talk to you soon!
Alice has now graduated. Hi, I'm a Third Year Psychology student and I'm originally from Italy. Nope, I'm not an exchange student, I decided to come to the UK for my whole degree. Wonder why? Well, I hope I'll make you understand a bit more in every post! I love my course, especially the behavioural side of it. Outside uni I play Volleyball, get involved in Volunteering, I am an Ambassador for the University and work for the Student Engagement Team as well. Overall, I try to be as active as I can. I hate being bored!
