Hello! During this Easter break I’m relaxing a lot, something I definitely needed to do! I’ve visited couple of cities in Italy, been seeing some friends… and eating lots of chocolate, of course. 😉
Because exams are happening at the end of May, I get a lot more time than I did for January exams. And though I hate being idle, I can afford to work at a slower pace.
Nonetheless, I’m trying to organise my work for the next few weeks, and I’m finding it more difficult than I thought it would be. What I’m struggling with is the choice of the topics for the Library Modules. As I’ve told you before, for the Library Modules we are given 3 topics, of which we need to choose 2, expand our notes with independent reading, and answer the broad question given on the exam paper. We have two Library Modules this term as well, one for Social and Developmental Psychology, and one for Biological Psychology. For both, I have one topic that I decided was mine the second I heard about it. And then there are other two, which appeal to me for different reasons. I don’t want to name them or get into detail, these are just personal opinions so it wouldn’t be fair!
I came to the same conclusion for both modules: one topic is really interesting, and engaging… but also very complex. The other one is nice, but not that exciting, and since I’ll have to spend hours and hours choosing papers to present, I don’t really want to have to do so with something I’m not interested in. But at the same time, I need to think about which question I’d be best at answering.
Grades are important, guys. Like, really important. I love learning, and knowledge, but at the end of the day that’s not what is going to make me graduate.
I’m still considering both topics, but I know I’ll have to make a decision soon. I do have time, but it’s limited! Let’s just hope I make the right choice…whatever that is!
