Hello everyone, so a couple of days ago I flew back to Italy, where I’m gonna stay for a few weeks, only to come back in July if I get all the shifts I applied for as an Ambassador. Before I left, I made it a point to visit the Danielle Brown gym on campus. I only went a few times over exams period, mostly because of tiredness and guilt. What I was really interested in was the opportunity to have a Health Check and a Fitness Programme. All holders of a gym membership are entitled to free Health Checks and have the opportunity to have a Fitness Programme written down for them if they want.
I booked my Health Check in advance, and it was so informative! They checked my height, weight, BMI, blood pressure, resting heart pace, and gave some other statistics. They also asked me about my dietary habits, and advised me on what to eat before and after I exercise. All the scores were really satisfying, which means the gym is paying off! 😀 Also, the lady who visited me was really nice and asked if they could work with me on my personal Fitness Programme, even though you are supposed to book a slot in advance. I guess they weren’t many students left on campus, with summer and everything. They measured my fat percentage, and then went off to ask me what I wanted to work on. Then we proceeded to use some machines, my trainer showed me how some of the machines worked, and made a draft of the programme, which we tried out the next day. It was soooo tiring… I loved it!
This way I can use my programme as a guide to work out while I’m not at uni (I’m quite dedicated! 😉 ).
I definitely recommend it even if you’re not a fan of the gym though, it’s always useful to know how healthy you are, and especially what sort of exercise is best for you. At least, this is my opinion! 🙂
