First we went to the Harry Potter Studios in London… because come on, I grew up with Harry Potter books, and we were both so excited! Actually, so excited that we actually went there wearing a home-assembled Hogwarts uniform, with ties and everything (I’m a proud Ravenclaw). It was amazing! 😀 Here is a picture of me near the Potion classroom.
Then we stayed in Leicester for a bit, mainly because I had to work, and also because travelling is expensive! I showed her around campus, which she loved (of course), especially Victoria park. I’m glad she gets it, I love that place, and I love my campus, so it was good to see someone else being excited about it. Too many of us students take it for granted 🙂
Then, right before she left, we went to London once more. The plan was to go around the city centre, and see all the best bits. I’ve been to London so many times, at this point I could have taken her anywhere. But we kinda ended up spending most of our time in Camden town! Not really that surprising 🙂 Camden market is always so much fun, and to show it to someone who has never been there before… it was amazing! We also stopped for a quick historical photo shoot… because we are weird, and because I love the Victorian period so much! Art, literature, history… if I could take Victorian studies just for fun, I would.
But yeah, so anyway, that’s what I’ve been up to. 🙂
On a side note, all this travelling reminded me I need to renew my Railcard. In case you don’t know this, you can buy an annual Railcard for £30, and it takes 1/3 off your ticket everytime you travel! And believe me, it’s so much money! For me it’s a necessity, since I like going to London quite often, not to mention getting to the airport every time! I’ve saved so much money over the past year, it’s definitely worth buying if any of you thinks they would be on a train quite often.
That’s it for now, talk to you soon!
