What a first week of lectures! It’s only Wednesday and I’m dead tired! It might be because it also got kinda cold and rainy all of a sudden, but today I called it a day immediately after our morning lecture, and went straight back home to a nice cup of tea. It might also be because yesterday I experienced my first Tuesday of this term, the first of many… and seriously, it’s gonna be tough. It’s the first time in my university life that I have such a full day! I’m on campus from 10am to 6pm; and without enough time to go back home, or to make it worth it anyway.
Yesterday began with a lecture on Brain & Cognition, followed by a one-hour break, and a meeting for the Student-Led Discussion Group. Basically, we get a one-hour slot per week to discuss issues or topics within our Psychology year. I saw this as an opportunity to take part in an activity that could provide insight on and experience with group dynamics. 🙂
Then I had a lecture immediately following the meeting about Dissertation procedures, followed by a two-hour break, which I spent in the library trying to finish a book for my dissertation, and then finally a two-hour lecture on Clinical Psychology. It was absolutely brilliant, I think Clinical Psychology is one of the few things that could keep me interested and focused after such a busy day!
Okay, I admit I had seen some friends the night before and was quite tired, but it’s still the busiest week day I’ve ever had on my timetable (at least in terms of lectures). Well, better get used to it! 🙂

About Alice
Alice has now graduated. Hi, I'm a Third Year Psychology student and I'm originally from Italy. Nope, I'm not an exchange student, I decided to come to the UK for my whole degree. Wonder why? Well, I hope I'll make you understand a bit more in every post! I love my course, especially the behavioural side of it. Outside uni I play Volleyball, get involved in Volunteering, I am an Ambassador for the University and work for the Student Engagement Team as well. Overall, I try to be as active as I can. I hate being bored!
