That’s it. It’s done.
I handed in my dissertation the morning before the deadline, mainly because I was really done with it. At that point, there was nothing I could do to change it, and to be honest I was quite happy with it! 🙂
I went to see my supervisor the day before, to make sure I didn’t make any big mistakes. They are not allowed to read our dissertation or give us major advice, but they can answer short questions (like, yes/no). I just asked generic questions like, ‘do my results look okay?’, ‘should I put that in my Appendix?’, ‘how should that document look like’ and things like these. Since I had finished writing it a few days before, at that point I was just obsessing over details! Like my supervisor said, details like those are not gonna change your mark, but they’re really helpful to give a good first impression when the markers read it! The first marker is our supervisor, but the second one will never have seen your work before, so it’s important to make it look pretty and professional.
We will have our results within the first week of June. I’m scared; this mark will pretty much decide the grade I will graduate with. Fingers crossed!
Oh yeah, everyone was celebrating yesterday and taking screenshots of the submission page… I kinda forgot. To be honest, I feel only slightly relieved. Yes, my dissertation is done, but I have 3 exams coming up in 3 weeks. And because of this dissertation, I’ve barely done anything to prepare for them. It means I will need to study a lot in the upcoming weeks. This is not gonna be fun.
