I’ve left quite some time pass since my last blog post! The truth is that I’ve been revising nonstop for days, and there isn’t much to talk about when you spend 10+ hours in the library!
But I just found out something amazing… the university has launched a stress-fighting programme to help students deal with exams! I mean, they’d done stuff like this before (I believe I wrote a post about the Petting Zoo some time ago!) but this time they’ve taken things very seriously! The activities range from a bouncy castle/obstacle course, to playful sessions with guide dogs and even relaxation stations in the Student Union! 😀 ”. I’ll leave the leaflet at the end of this post, in case anyone doesn’t know about this great initiative!
I’m actually so grateful for this. Health during exams is so important. I’m only realising now, at the end of my third year, how important it is to relax during exams period. I’ve learned that taking some time for yourself does not mean you are not putting effort into your academic work, or that you don’t care. You’ve got to know when you’re recharging and when you’re procrastinating! They’re two very different things. This said, I also believe it’s totally okay if you decide to alienate yourself from the world for a couple of weeks, focus on your work, and then come back to life! What’s important is that your health is not affected by it, that you’re happy, focused and on track with what you’re doing. 🙂
My first exam is in 2 days, and despite feeling quite good about it, I know there is still loads I have to do! I better be off! As promised, here is the timetable I found:
