My name is Emily and, after an awesome summer in the USA, I’ll be coming back to Leicester in September for the third year of my psychology degree. I can’t believe I’m going into my third year already; it feels like only yesterday that I was about to move into halls (and absolutely terrified). I think I’m still in denial about the fact that I only have one year left until I have to join the real world! I’ve been reading these blogs even before I came to uni, so I’m very excited to have been given the opportunity to document my final year at Leicester.
As I mentioned before I’m in the USA for the summer working at a summer camp in New York (for you F.r.i.e.n.d.s fans I’m not far from Poughkeepsie as in the Poughkeepsie mentioned in this episode). I’ve been here just over two weeks and I’m having the best time. It’s only the start of July and it’s already far too warm (I think I’m starting to miss the weather in Leicester!) I genuinely don’t think I could have done it if I hadn’t have come to university as, as cheesey as this sounds, university has definitely given me the confidence I needed to have this experience of a lifetime.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading my posts (even the inevitable ones about dissertation stress!)
