…I got a job!
In one of my previous blogs I mentioned that I had attended an interview for the role of Social Researcher at the Office for National Statistics. This is a permanent, full-time graduate job for the Civil Service, so I was rather pessimistic about my chances of being offered a place. But, I am so so so happy to say that I recently received an email to say that I had passed the interview stage and that they are offering me a role! I am not yet sure what the specific role will be because they are not able to do to discussions about role allocations until mid-April. So I might be contributing to the production of the Census or I might be in charge or analyzing national data or I might in charge of collecting the data…who knows! I don’t even know if I’ll be working in their Hampshire offices or in Wales! All I know is that I do have a job and I very much look forward to starting later on this year.
I am pretty sure I will post again when I know what role I have been allocated. So if you’re interested then keep an eye out!
