I feel like it is a bit cliché to make my first blog post one where I introduce myself, but I feel like it’s nice to get that one in there at the bottom of the stack.
I am Hannah. I’m from Worcester. I’m 20 years old, a second year at UoL. I study chemistry. I row. I am trying to teach myself German. I’m enjoying this heat stroke England has going at the moment. Lets see, what else? I love to read, but I hate being told what to read (e.g. I find reading chemistry papers for work-related purposes boring. But reading those same papers in my own time and off my own bat is infinitely more interesting). I’d rather cycle around than walk. I cried at the film “Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging” (namely the bit where she comes down the stairs ready for her birthday party in that purple dress… yes I am weak). Too much? Probably.
Well now that you know the basics I can get on to what I’m going to be blogging about in the upcoming months. I have a couple of holidays planned with different people in July, such as going to Malta with my family, Edinburgh with an old friend from school, and hiking around Snowdonia with one of my housemates from this year. August will be about me relocating across the pond, as I begin my year abroad at the University of Florida in Gainesville (with a city name like this, I’m aiming to “make some gains” and return as a super hench version of myself). I’ll be blogging about how I settle into UF, the inevitable culture shock and keeping in touch with my family, and the friends I’ve made back at home.
Until next time, readers!
